Furman P-2300 IT E Power Stabiliser/Conditioner
The Furman P-2300 IT E is a power conditioning unit, which delivers two isolated lines of symmetrically balanced AC mains power. We are powering this from the Furman P-6900 AR E stabiliser/power conditioner, so it receives already conditioned and stabilised power, which is then isolated from the rest of the equipment in the building. This machine cleans up all the power line noise and the balanced output ensures, that it is not going to be picking up or cause any interference along the way. These lines are used to power the main mastering room in a configuration, which separates motors of tape machine transports from the audio electronics, to prevent interference and noise issues.
Although often overlooked in Europe, power conditioning equipment and carefully planned studio wiring is essential for any professional audio facility with any pretence to quality. It greatly lowers the noise floor and improves the distortion of the audio signal path by entirely removing any impurities brought in by unstable and noisy mains lines.
